A Song Of Old Terfini

"The Ships Of The Line"

_I saw those ships of the line, my friend
The ships of great Terfini
Draw near to our grateful ports
With treasures grand from the southern sand,
And spices drawn from the western land

A northern lad’s a lucky one
When the ships of great Terfini
Draw near to our grateful ports
With stories drawn of the amber dawn
And the forests filled with buck and fawn

They tell me the king lives in a palace of roses
A palace of ro-oh-ses
And they say the queen grows a splendid garden
A splendid ga-ar-den
With shield and sword the knights are mighty towers
Almighty to-ow-wers
The coronation’s found on a bed of stone carnations
Stone carnay-ay-tions
_
